This Weekend's Preview: The No. 25-ranked Ohio Northern women's track and field program returns to action this Saturday with a trip to the Flag City Open, hosted by Findlay ... Field events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., and running events will begin at 12 p.m. inside the Malcolm Athletic Center ... This meet will not be scored ... Meanwhile, seniors Avery Ewing and Tia Harris and juniors Taylor Lavey, Maggie Krause, and Allison Stevens will compete at the Ohio State Tune-Up on Friday evening ... The Polar Bears enter the weekend sporting a 19-4 overall record ... They are ranked 25th in the NCAA Division III on the fourth weekly USTFCCCA power rankings, which was released on Tuesday ... Last weekend, ONU ended fourth in the 18-team All-Ohio Championships at Otterbein ... Krause and Stevens finished 1-2 in the pole vault after both cleared 3.75 meters ... Stevens set a new career-best mark with the vault and moved up to seventh on the NCAA Division III Performance list ... For her efforts, she was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week ... Ewing and Harris earned runner-up marks in the 800-meter run and shot put events, respectively ... Lavey, senior Taylor Fisher, freshman Courtney Smith, and Ewing teamed up to finish third in the 4x400-meter relay ... Lavey would round out the top-three performances with a third-place finish in the 60-meter dash in 7.98 seconds.
