Bio: Ohio Northern national champion Emily Richards completed her sixth season under contract as a professional runner in 2023 ... She is currently under contract with running apparel brand Tracksmith and is coached by ONU track and field head coach Jason Maus ... She first signed with Tracksmith in 2022 ... From 2018-2021, she held a contract with shoe company Hoka One One and represented the Hoka New Jersey New York Track Club under Coach Frank Gagliano ... Richards has also served as an assistant track and field and cross country coach at Ohio Northern since July of 2020 ... Richards was a nine-time NCAA Division III national champion and a 13-time All-American during her four seasons at ONU from 2015 to 2018 ... She won the 800-meter dash title five times and the 1,500-meter dash four times ... She was also an All-American in the 800 and the 3,000-meter run in track and field and was an All-American in cross country, finishing ninth at the 2017 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships ... She has qualified for seven USATF National Championships as well as the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 800-meter dash ... She finished eighth in 2018 at the USATF Championships running for Ohio Northern and was 15th in 2019 running under the Hoka One One banner ... 2023 - Qualified for the USATF Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., in July and advanced to the semifinals in the 800 meters, finishing 12th overall in 2:02.59 ...
