Saturday's Preview: The Ohio Northern women's soccer team remains on the road Saturday and battles Muskingum at 1 p.m. at the North Athletic Turf Field in New Concord … The Polar Bears — who are receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches top 25 — boast an 8-2-2 overall record, which includes a 2-0-0 mark in Ohio Athletic Conference play … Northern has won four in a row and outscored its foes 16-2 during that stretch … On Wednesday, ONU claimed a 7-1 win at Baldwin Wallace … In that game, six different Polar Bears boasted a goal, and junior Siena Ward led the way with a pair of scores … Fellow junior Jenna Fuller recorded her team-leading 11th goal of 2019, which gives her 39 for her career, and that ranks her eight all-time in school history … Senior Rose Nienaber has four goals in 2019, while senior Haley Moses has three … Senior goaltender Meagan Grierson has recorded 27 saves and five shut outs in 2019 … Grierson has registered 37 shut outs in her career, and that's tops in program history … Her 167 career saves ranks her ninth all-time in school history … Muskingum lays claim to a 6-6-0 overall record and a 1-1-0 mark in OAC play … The Muskies average 1.75 goals per contest and are led offensively by Mary Double who has six scores on the season … Katie Bodenmiller takes care of the goalkeeping duties, and she's logged 61 saves in 2019.
