Tuesday's Preview: The Ohio Northern softball team is looking to remain unbeaten in Ohio Athletic Conference play as it hosts a doubleheader against Wilmington on Tuesday after sweeping doubleheaders with Marietta and Mount Union last week … The Polar Bears are coming off winning both games of Saturday's doubleheader at Mount Union by scores of 3-2 and 5-3 … Freshman Ashley Lenser pitched all seven innings of Game 1 and allowed just two runs on nine hits and one walk to go with one strikeout in the victory … Sophomore pitcher Alex Daum earned the win in Game 2, and junior Allie Bican notched three strikeouts over 2.2 shutout innings of relief to earn a save … Lenser, seniors Rachel Hish and Hannah Rubel and junior Sydney Motylinski tallied one RBI each in the two-game set … Sophomore Kaylie Griffin leads ONU in batting average (.371) and runs (12) and ranks second in hits (13) … Rubel leads the team in hits (14) and RBIs (9) and ranks second in batting average (.368) … Hish (.333), freshman Callie Rosser (.333) and Lenser (.310) are also hitting above .300 on the season … Hish and senior Abby Elliott are two and five hits away, respectively, from 100 in their careers … Lenser leads the ONU pitching staff in wins (3), and Bican and Daum have a team-best 3.11 ERA … Senior Stacey Walters has a 3.23 ERA and ranks 10th in the OAC with 26 strikeouts … Walters is tied for 10th all-time at ONU with 147 career strikeouts … Wilmington enters Tuesday's doubleheader coming off splitting a doubleheader at Baldwin Wallace last Wednesday … The Quakers lost 3-0 in Game 1 and got a 3-2 win in Game 2 … In Game 1, WC was no-hit by BWU pitcher Nikki Camarati, who struck out 18 of the 21 batters she faced … Hayley Suchland had a team-high three hits in WC's Game 2 win, as pitchers Alexis Stringfellow and Lindsey Carter combined to give up just four hits … Carter (.487) and Suchland (.476) lead the team in batting average, ranking second and fifth, respectively, in the OAC … Carter has a team-high 12 RBIs … Stringfellow ranks third in the OAC with a 2.10 ERA and is 3-2 on the season with 12 strikeouts … Carter ranks seventh in the OAC with a 2.94 ERA.
