Jackie (Mangola) Price spent eight seasons at the helm of the Ohio Northern softball program from 2017-2024. She was just the sixth head coach in the 53-year history of the program.

Price led Ohio Northern to a 178-1122-1 overall record and three OAC Tournament titles.

ONU posted a 24-11 overall record, won the OAC Regular Season title with a 16-2 league record and won the OAC Tournament for the second consecutive season in 2022.

On May 4, 2019, Price earned her 100th career coaching victory in a 2-1 win over Muskingum in the OAC Tournament. She currently owns 199 career victories after posting 178 wins at Ohio Northern and 21 wins at Hiram.

In 2018, she led Northern to a 32-11 record and a 13-5 OAC record to tie for second place in the conference standings. She also guided the Polar Bears to their first OAC Tournament championship title since 2009 and their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2012.

For her efforts in 2018, Price became the only coach in ONU history to be named both the OAC Player of the Year and OAC Coach of the Year at Ohio Northern. She was named the OAC Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons in 2010 and 2011.

She and her staff were also named the OAC Coaching Staff of the Year in 2022. That season saw freshman Ashley Lenser earn OAC Pitcher of the Year and Rookie of the Year accolades.

Price returned to her alma mater after a two-year stint as the head softball coach at Hiram. While there, she guided the Terriers to 21 total victories during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

In addition, Price was an assistant coach at fellow OAC institutions John Carroll and Muskingum following her graduation from ONU in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education.

Price was a two-time All-American, two-time Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year and three-time First-Team All-OAC honoree and was Ohio Northern's Clyde Lamb Award recipient during her playing career at ONU.

Price is the program's all-time leader with 45 career home runs, which includes a school-record 21 during her junior year. She also ranks second all-time in RBI (179), third in runs scored (172) and fourth in hits (222), walks (79) and slugging percentage (.735).

Her .392 career batting average stands eighth-best all-time for the Polar Bears.
