Gower earns All-Region honors, leads Ohio Northern women's cross country team to 10th place finish at the NCAA III Great Lakes Regionals

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. — The Ohio Northern women's cross country team finished 10th out of 39 teams at the Division III Great Lakes Regional Championships on Saturday morning.

- No. 22-ranked Depauw won the team title with 91 points, No. 20 Calvin placed 2nd with 94 points, No. 30 Trine finished 3rd with 109 points and Wittenberg finished fourth with 165 points.

- Sophomore AnnaSophia Gower (Perrysburg) led ONU across the finish line, placing 32 overall in the 270-woman field in 22:54 earning her All-Region Honors.
- Junior Kennedy Rader (Mason) was 38th overall, finishing in 23:03 .
- Junior Samantha Roth (Brunswick) was 48th in 23:19.
- Senior Abby Matthews (Lithopolis/Bloom Carroll) finished 56th in 23:31.
- Senior Ashley Hockstock (Westerville) was 90th in 24:06.
- Junior Natalie Armbruster (Cinncinati/Mount Notre Dame) was 96th in 24:09.12.
- Junior Dani Widmark (Zanesfield/Benjamin Logan) was 97th in 2409.15.

- Ohio Northern has finished in the top ten in the Regionals in each of the last 7 years.
- All-Regional honors go to the top 35 finishers
- This is Gower's second season earning All-Region honors.

- The top team finishers in each of the 10 NCAA Regional Championship races across the country earn automatic bids to the NCAA III Championships Nov. 23 at Terre Haute, Ind.
