Women's Cross Country moves up to No. 32 in first weekly USTFCCCA poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's cross country team moved up one spot to No. 32 nationally in the first of eight weekly USTFCCCA polls, which was released on Wednesday.

The Polar Bears (10-0 overall) received 41 points in the poll, which was 13 more than in the preseason poll when Northern was ranked No. 33. ONU is tied with Swarthmore (Pa.) for the No. 32 spot.

SUNY-Geneseo remains ranked No. 1 with 349 points and nine first-place votes. Wartburg (Iowa) is second with 335 points and two-time defending national champion Johns Hopkins (Md.) is third with 331 points and one first-place vote.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday at the Rochester (N.Y.) Invitational.
