Senior Tessa Pitcovich named OAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

ADA — The Ohio Athletic Conference has named Ohio Northern senior Tessa Pitcovich (Stow/Munroe Falls) as its Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of Sept. 18-Oct. 4.
This marks Pitcovich's first career OAC Runner of the Week honor. She earns the accolade after leading the Polar Bears across the finish line in their ninth-place finish out of 37 teams at Saturday's Louisville Classic at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky.
Pitcovich, a two-time All-OAC honoree, was tops amongst ONU's seven-woman contingent in the race, placing 18th overall out of 277 runners with a time of 22:48.3 on the 6,000-meter course.
Ohio Northern's next race is the Oberlin Rumble, which is set for Saturday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m.
