ONU Race Notes: The Ohio Northern women's cross country team — which is ranked inside the top-10 of the Great Lakes Region — will race in its fourth meet of the season Saturday … The Polar Bears travel to Oberlin to race in the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble … The women are scheduled to run at 10:30 a.m. while the men will compete at 11:15 a.m. … The field includes 53 teams from across the country … Northern — which placed first and second as a team in its first two meets of the season — is fresh off a 13th-place finish at the Louisville Classic Oct. 5 … In that race, junior Megan Wright led the way, crossing 31st in a time of 14:25.7 … Sophomore Tessa Pitcovich placed second on the team, and 32nd overall, recording a time of 14:26 … Senior Kathleen Colvin took 76th place, clocking in at 14:49, while Kylie Vestal and Madeleine Routhier rounded out ONU's top-five, logging times of 15:02.6 and 15:03.4, respectively … Northern last competed in the Oberlin Rumble in 2015 where they took ninth in a field of 29.
Head Coach Jason Maus: Maus is in his 11th season as head coach of the women's cross-country team … He has coached three women's cross-country teams to Ohio Athletic Conference titles … Maus is also the all-time winningest coach in Ohio Northern women's cross-country history.
