ONU Race Notes: The Ohio Northern women's cross country team will race in its fourth meet of the season Saturday … The Polar Bears travel to Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky., to race in the Louisville Classic … The women are scheduled to run at 12:45 p.m. while the men will compete at 12 p.m. … The field includes 135 different teams from all divisions … Northern — which placed first and second as a team in its first two meets of the season — is fresh off a sixth-place finish at the All-Ohio Championships last weekend … In that race, junior Megan Wright paced the Polar Bears, placing 14th overall, boasting a time of 23:51 … Sophomore Tessa Pitcovich was second on the team and 21st overall after logging a time of 24:11, while junior Kylie Vestal crossed 30th with a time of 24:33 … Seniors Madeleine Routhier and Kathleen Colvin rounded out ONU's top-five, recording times of 24:40 and 24:47, respectively … Northern last competed in the Louisville Classic in 2003 where they placed 13th in a field of 34.
Head Coach Jason Maus: Maus is in his 11th season as head coach of the women's cross country team … He has coached three women's cross-country teams to Ohio Athletic Conference titles … Maus is also the all-time winningest coach in Ohio Northern women's cross country history.
