BEREA — The Ohio Northern women's cross country team finished fourth of 10 teams at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships held at Baldwin Wallace  on Saturday afternoon on the Wallace Lake Course.

The Polar Bears (72-29 overall) finished with 78 points.

Sophomore Emily Richards won the OAC Individual title, winning the race out of 136 runners in 21:56.7 over the 6,000-meter course.

The sophomore earned First Team All-OAC honors for her efforts.

"As a team we ran really well," ONU head coach Jason Maus said. "I'm proud of our effort. Emily's race was amazing, I am so happy for her. We had many runners step up today."

 Also claiming All-OAC honors were freshman Ashlie Baumann in 9th in 22:56.8 and junior Genevieve Marchese in 18th in 23:14.8.
 
Also finishing in the top 25 runners was senior Margaret Sorg finishing 19th in 23:18.0.
Ohio Northern will take next weekend off in preparation for the NCAA Div. III Regional Championships Nov. 14 at Rose Hulman, located in Terre Haute, Ind.
