MASON — The Ohio Northern women's cross country team wrapped up its 2014 season with a solid 14th place finish out of 35 teams at the NCAA III Great Lakes Regional meet Saturday afternoon at the Kings Island Golf Center.

The Polar Bears post their 24th consecutive winning season, finishing with a 90-72 record.

Freshman Emily Richards led Ohio Northern across the finish line, finishing 68th of 246 runners in 23:19 on the 6,000-meter course. 

Senior Raechel Moore placed 74th in 23:25, senior Catie Huber was 76th in 23:34 and junior Kara Sosinski was 96th in 23:50.

The top 35 individuals earn All-Region honors.

No. 8-ranked Calvin (Mich.) won the team title with 61 points and No. 11 Oberlin was second with 73 points, claiming the two automatic bids to the NCAA III Championships.

No. 18 Mount Union was third with 161 points and No. 33 Hope (Mich.) was fourth with 165 points. Both schools will now wait to see if they receive one of the 16 at-large bids given nationwide to the NCAA III Championships..

Cassandra Vince of Calvin won the race in 21:01.
