NASHVILLE (Tenn.) -- Junior Samantha Hoffman finished 11th of 117 runners to lead the Ohio Northern women's cross country team to a fifth place finish at the Vanderbilt Invitational on Saturday.

Northern finished with 120 points.

Union (Tenn.) won the meet with 59 points, Christopher Newport (Va.) was second with 73 points and Texas A&M-Commerce finished third with 107 points.

Hoffman finished with a time of 19:31.58 on the 5,000-meter course.

Junior Catie Huber notched a 13th place finish, crossing the finish line in 19:36.14.

Senior Erin Radigan finished 23rd in 19:53.72, sophomore Kara Sosinski was 31st in 19:59.97 and senior Brooke Larsen finished 42nd with a time of 20:13.13.

Ohio Northern will return to action at the All-Ohio Championships at Cedarville on October 4.
