Meet Preview: The Ohio Northern women's indoor track and field team travels to Berea on Friday and Saturday to compete in the 2023 Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships meet at Baldwin Wallace … On Friday, field events begin at 12 p.m. and running events begin at 4:30 p.m. … On Saturday, field events begin at 10 a.m. and running events begin at 2:30 p.m. … ONU is ranked No. 5 in the Great Lakes Region in the Week 5 USTFCCCA poll, which was released on Monday, and is one of three OAC teams in the top five of that poll … The Polar Bears placed third as a team behind Mount Union and John Carroll at the 2022 OAC Indoor Championships, scoring 87 points … Junior Olivia Ogg is the defending OAC champion in the pole vault … Other defending All-OAC honorees include senior Tessa Pitcovich (3,000, 5,000) and sophomores Chloe Gibson (triple jump) and Toria Ingalls (high jump) … Senior Anna Schatzle is a defending NCAA qualifier in the pole vault … Northern is coming off last Saturday's Wittenberg Invitational, which was not team scored … The team of Gibson, sophomore Kendra Krichbaum, junior Rosie Schroeder and freshman Stacey Legg won the 4x200 relay in 1:50.60 … Freshman Kaitlin Prusnek won the 1,000 in 3:16.09 … Schatzle was second in the pole vault, and freshman Lauryn Wolters was second in the long jump … The Polar Bears currently own top-three marks in six events this season … Pitcovich leads the OAC in the 5,000 with a time of 17:43.48 … Sophomore Izzy Burman leads the OAC in the weight throw with a mark of 15.83 meters and is second in the conference in the shot put with a throw of 12.16 meters … The team of Prusnek, senior Lexi Neff, sophomore Olyvia Ashbrook and freshman Abby Matthews leads the OAC in the distance medley relay with a time of 13:12.95 … Senior Taylor Ellerbrock is second in the OAC in the 3,000 with a time of 10:16.44 … Ingalls is third in the OAC in the high jump with a mark of 1.60 meters.
