Women's Track and Field finishes fourth at the OAC Outdoor Championships

BEREA — Junior Kayla Silva (Westerville/South) earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors in the 100-meter dash to lead the Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team on the second day of the 2021 OAC Championships meet on Thursday at Hoernemann Stadium.
The Polar Bears (34-15 overall) finished fourth out of 10 teams with 105.33 points.
Silva finished second in the 100 in 12.34 seconds. She was also fifth in the 200 in :25.98.
Senior Megan Wright (Eaton/Twin Valley South) and senior Kylie Vestal (Youngstown/Austintown Fitch) finished fourth and sixth in the 1500 run in 4:45.12 and 4:51.47, respectively.
Freshman Natalie Garrett (Columbus/Bishop Watterson) was fourth in the hammer with a toss of 42.26 meters.
Junior Tessa Pitcovich (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) was fifth in the 5000-run in 17:51.80.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Friday at the Baldwin Wallace Last Chance meet.
