This Weekend's Preview: The Ohio Northern women's track and field program continues its 2019 outdoor campaign this weekend at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan ... Running and field events will begin at 10 a.m. at the George Gauthier Track in Delaware ... The Polar Bears enter the weekend with a 36-5 overall record through three meets in the 2019 season ... Last weekend, the women's track and field program claimed four event titles at the Bob Kahn Invitational at Oberlin, which was not scored for final team standings ... Junior Melinda McIntosh, sophomore Stella DeWitt, and freshman Kayla Silva each won individual event titles last Saturday ... McIntosh crossed the finish line in :15.99 to capture the 100-meter hurdles title, leading a 1-3-4 Polar Bear effort in the event ... Meanwhile, DeWitt brought home an event title in the field with a 5.20-meter (17' 0.75") leap in the 10-person long jump competition ... After claiming Ohio Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors last Monday, Silva won the 200-meter dash in a career-best :25.87, just 0.01 seconds quicker than second-place finisher Akwia Tilton (Wooster) ... Silva, freshman Emily Norden, DeWitt, and junior Taylor Lavey rounded out the event titles with a triumph in the 4x100-meter relay field, finishing 0.06 seconds off the previous school record in :48.64 ... In addition, the Polar Bears received runner-up efforts from seniors Michaela Fox (1,500), Taylor Fisher (400 Hurdles), and Tia Harris (Shot Put) and junior Madeleine Routhier (800) over the weekend.
