Senior Rebecca Carman and sophomore Maddy Reed lead Women's Track & Field at Cedarville Invitational

ADA — Senior Rebecca Carman (Bellefontaine) and sophomore Maddy Reed (Lucasville/Piketon) each posted second place finishes to lead the Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field teams at the Cedarville Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears improve to 22-3 on the season.
Northern finished fourth in the team standings with 61 points.
In the pole vault, Reed posted a second place finish with a leap of 11' 10.00".
Junior Kelly Wollenslegal and freshman Maggie Krause (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) both tied for sixth in the pole vault with a vault of 10' 4.25".
Carman also posted a second place finish for the Polar Bears, as she finished second in the 100-meter hurdles in :15.98.
Senior Rebecca Olashuk (Defiance/Tinora) also posted a top-3 finish for ONU as she finished third in the hammer throw with a toss of 143.00'.
In the high jump, sophomore Mallory Weininger (Upper Sandusky) finished fourth, clearing 4' 10.25".
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, junior Danielle Sutter (Fort Recovery) finished fourth in 12:22.40.
Senior Kelsey Commager (Maumee) finished fourth in the long jump, leaping 17' 8.00".
In the 400-meter hurdles, sophomore Taylor Fisher (Wapakoneta) finished fifth in 1:07.98.
Freshman Taylor Lavey (Findlay) added to the Polar Bears score as she finished fifth in the 200-meter dash in :26.50.
Junior Elizabeth Werner (Batesville) posted a sixth place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 30' 7.75".
Senior Meagan Ellinger (Bath, Ind./Union County) posted a top-10 finish in the 400-meter dash as she finished sixth in the event in 1:01.76.
Northern returns to action Saturday, Apr. 1 as it competes in the Centre (Ky.) Invitational.
