No. 21 Indoor Women's Track & Field finishes tied for second at OAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

ADA -- Senior Vicki Moga was named Field Athlete of the Year and senior Alison Steinbrunner was named Co-Distance Athlete of the Year as the No. 18 Ohio Northern women's indoor track & field team finished second at the OAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at the ONU Sports Center.
No. 18 Mount Union won the event with 214 points, the Polar Bears and Otterbein finished tied for second with 102 points and Capital was fourth with 84 points.
Moga won the women's high jump clearing a height of 1.69 meters, which currently ties her for fifth in high jump in the nation.
Steinbrunner ran a 17:39.21 to break her own OAC record in the women's 5,000 run.
Freshman Kara Sosinski finished seventh in the 5,000 run in 18:47.84 and Casey Adamcik came in eighth in 18:48.99.
With a time of 2:24.89, sophomore Catie Huber placed second in the women's 800 run earning All-OAC status and sophomore Shayla Siefker placed fourth with a time of 2:26.70.
The 1,000 run saw junior Brooke Larsen finish fifth in 3:08.71, junior Erin Radigan finish sixth in 3:10.06 and junior Laura Avino notching a seventh place finish in 3:10.77.
Ohio Northern women's 4x200 relay team consisting of freshman Kristine Wagner, sophomores Shannon Hageman and Gabrielle Metzner and senior Jordan Buchanan earned all OAC honors, placing third with a time of 1:47.34.
Buchanan also picked up All-OAC honors, placing third in the women's 60 meter dash with a time of 8.08.
She also placed sixth in the 200 dash in 27.05 seconds.
In the 1-mile run, Siefker earned All-OAC status placing third with a time of 5:22.72 and Radigan placed fifth in 5:27.40.
Metzner finished sixth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.55 seconds.
Wagner, Metzner, Hageman and Buchanan made up the women Polar Bears 4x400 team that closed out competition in fourth place, posting a 4:14.34 time.
"I thought we ran lights out all weekend," said head coach Jason Maus. "We had a ton of personal records and great performances. I couldn't be more happier with this group."
Ohio Northern will compete at the Last Chance Meet on March 2 before concluding its indoor season at the Division III Indoor Championships.
