DMR team wins OAC title in Day 1 of OAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships

ADA -- The women's Distance Medley relay team took home a first place finish to lead the No. 18 Ohio Northern women's indoor track & field team on Day 1 of the OAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday evening at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears currently stand in fourth place with 22 points.
No. 19 Mount Union is first with 42 points, Otterbein is second with 29 points and Marietta is third with 27 points.
The DMR team of seniors Lydia Weaver, Alison Steinbrunner, sophomore Catie Huber and freshman Brittany Lee finished first in 12:20.74.
Steinbrunner also earned All-OAC status in the 3,000 run, notching a second place finish in 10:13.77.
Sophomore Sarah Ballmer tied for fourth place in the pole vault with a vault of 3.06 meters.
Ohio Northern will return to competition tomorrow during Day 2 of the OAC Championships at 10 am.
