Women's Track & Field places sixth at OAC Relays
COLUMBUS — The Ohio Northern women's track and field team placed sixth with 48 points at the OAC Relays Saturday evening, hosted by Capital University at the Capital Center Fieldhouse.
Baldwin-Wallace took first place with 106.5 points, followed by Mount Union with 97 points and Otterbein with 89 points. Marietta (60) and Heidelberg (50.5) rounded out the top five positions.
Senior Amanda Binkey, junior Ashley Sottoway, freshman Kayti Kintner and sophomore Lydia Weaver comprised the ONU distance medley relay team that took first place in 12:42.96.
Sophomore Alison Steinbrunner won the 5,000 run in 18:08.37 and junior Kelly Casanova took the runner-up spot in 18:26.58.
In the 3,000 run, junior Brooke Bonahan came in fourth place at 10:50.35.
Freshman Laura Avino, junior Keira Corbett, freshman Brooke Larsen, and junior Katie DeAngelis combined to take fourth place in the 4x800 relay in 10:21.50.
Ohio Northern will compete again next Saturday, Feb. 5, as it will host the Polar Bear Invitational at the ONU Sports Center. Events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
