Women's Tennis improves to 3-0 with 8-1 victory at Capital

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference with an 8-1 victory at Capital on Friday afternoon indoors at the Scarborough East Tennis Center.
Junior Ola Latala (Grosse Isle, Mich.) won by default at No.1 singles joined with freshman Olivia Kesner (Lima/Central Catholic) to win at No. 1 doubles 8-4.
Kesner also won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
Senior Mackenzie Wills (Ada) won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, senior Katie Curry (Oxford/Talawanda) won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and senior Jordan Dodson (Worthington) won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
Wills and sophomore Jeorgia Templin (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles and Curry and sophomore Regan Landis (Elkhart, Ind./Concord) won 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
The Polar Bears will return to action Wednesday at Otterbein.
