Women's Tennis kicks off OAC Tennis Fest with 5-2 victory over Berea (Ky.)

MASON — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team kicked off the 2016 OAC Tennis Fest with a 5-2 non-conference victory over Berea (Ky.) Friday evening at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 11-2 overall, while the Mountaineers fall to 5-11.
The two teams split the four contested matches and ONU won three matches by forfeit as Berea had just three healthy players at he start of the match.
Northern won Nos. 2 and 3 singles and BC won No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.
Senior Elise Smith won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and sophomore Kirsten Adamson won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
The Polar Bears will play twice on Saturday when they face Marietta at 11 am and Muskingum at 2 pm at the Lindner Tennis Center.
