Women's Tennis gets back on winning track with 8-1 victory at Trine (Ind.)

ANGOLA, Ind. — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team got back to its winning ways with an 8-1 victory at Trine (Ind.) on Thursday at the Athletic Recreation Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 8-1, while the Thunder fall to 1-4.
Sophomore Lynn Kelly and junior Brittany Toney won 6-0, 6-0 at Nos. 1 and 5 singles to lead ONU.
Senior Taryn Stromback won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, senior Meghan Letizia won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and senior Elise Smith won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.
Northern swept the doubles matches to take a early 3-0 lead.
Stromback and Kelly won 8-0 at No. 1, Toney and Letizia won 8-0 at No. 2 and Smith and sophomore Morgan McGlothlin won 8-1 at No.3 doubles.
The Polar Bears will return to action March 31 with matches against Adrian (Mich.) and Manchester (Ind.) at Adrian.
