Women's Swimming and Diving finishes fourth after final day of 2025 OAC Championships

AKRON — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team finished in fourth place after the final day of the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships meet on Saturday.
The Basics
- Records: Ohio Northern (4-4 overall).
- Venue: Ocasek Natatorium - Akron, Ohio.
- Ohio Northern finished fourth out of 6 teams with 479 points.
- John Carroll won the team title with 1018 points, Baldwin Wallace was second with 661 points, Mount Union was third with 655 points, Wilmington was fifth with 201 points and Heidelberg was sixth with 194.5 points.
Meet Highlights
- Freshman Abby Leatherman (Findlay/Van Buren) earned All-Conference honors in the 200 breast, finishing third in 1:08.30.
- Freshman Lila DeLong (New Albany) was sixth in the 1650 free in 19:34.65.
- Junior Hannah Eversole (Cincinnati/Mt. Notre Dame) was fifth in the 200 back in 2:14.27, followed by freshman Teagan Stermer (Bradenton, Fla./Christian) in seventh in 2:16.91.
- Senior Mara Brown (Fremont/Ross) was sixth in the 100 free in :55.46.
- Freshman Kate Kalmanowicz (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) was fourth in the 200 fly in 2:15.37.
- The 400 free relay team of Leatherman, senior Annie Richters (Troy/Miami East), Kalmanowicz and Brown and were fourth in 3:45.48.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 20 events, including 13 individual races, five relays and two diving events.
- The top three individuals and top two relays in each event earned All-Conference honors.
- Leatherman earned All-OAC honors in both of the breast events, finishing second in the 100 breast on Friday.
- Eversole was also an All-Conference performer, finishing second in the 400 I.M. on Friday.
- Ohio Northern has won 7 OAC Championships titles since 2007.
- Austin Veltman is 30-32 in his seventh season as head coach of the Polar Bears.
