Permit Validity Sales Date: 12/01/24-12/31/25 Duration: This permit is valid from January 1st, 2025, to December 31st, 2025. Locations: It is applicable in any 'Commuter' or 'All-Permit' parking facilities not permitted in visitor lots. License Plate Registration: You can register one license plate per permit, including motorcycle plates. Parking Hours: The permit allows parking for 24 hours from the day and time purchased. Parking Enforcement and Usage Enforcement: University parking is monitored 24/7. Proper Use: Parking facilities must be utilized as intended by the operators. License Plate Display Since your license plate is your permit, it must be visible to drive lanes when parked. Vehicles without a front license plate are not allowed to back into spaces, pull through, or park in any way that obstructs the plate. License Plate Positioning: License plates must face the drive lanes. Vehicles without front plates cannot back into spaces, pull through, or park in any manner that obscures the license plate.We have included the details of UAkronPark rule #7 below for your review. 7) License Plate Permit Display a) Vehicles must be parked so that a valid, State-issued license plate is visible from the drive lane. b) A front license plate is required for back-in, pull-through, or any other manner of parking where the front of the vehicle is facing the drive lane. c) There cannot be a parking stall separating the license plate from the drive lane, even if the stall is not occupied. d) The plate facing the adjacent drive lane must be visible and not obstructed. e) License plate facsimiles or placements, when avoidable, cannot be such that they are not able to be read by license plate recognition technology.3 [Note: UAkronPark is aware that a license plate is not required by Ohio Law for the front of the vehicle. The purpose of this rule is to provide efficient enforcement of our parking facilities.] Accessibility Parking For those needing to use a BMV accessibility handicap placard, the registration document accompanying the placard must be uploaded to your iParq permit session.
