Eversole, Leatherman earn All-OAC honors as Women's Swimming and Diving remains fourth after Day 3 of 2025 OAC Championships

AKRON — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team remains in fourth place after day three of the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships meet on Friday.
The Basics
- Records: Ohio Northern (4-4 overall).

- John Carroll leads the team standings with 674 points, Baldwin Wallace is second with 421 points, Mount Union is third with 408 points, Heidelberg is fifth with 146 points and Wilmington is sixth with 144 points.
Meet Highlights
- Junior Hannah Eversole (Cincinnati/Mt. Notre Dame) earned All-OAC honors with a second place finish in the 400-yard I.M. in 4:46.15, followed by freshman Kate Kalmanowicz (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) in fifth place in 4:50.26.
- Freshman Abby Leatherman (Findlay/Van Buren) earned All-Conference honors in the 100 breast, finishing second in 1:08.30.
- Senior Mara Brown (Fremont/Ross) was fourth in the 100 breast in 1:08.78 and was seventh in the 100 fly in 1:00.70.
- Kalmanowicz was fifth in the 100 back in 1:02.26 and freshman Teagan Stermer (Bradenton, Fla./Christian) was eighth in 1:03.51.
- Freshman Gillian Yoder (Waterville/Anthony Wayne) was fifth in the 1-meter diving with 324.85 points, followed in 13th by junior Meghan Mattison (Easton, Pa.) with 218.85points.
- The 200 medley relay team of freshman Kate Kalmanowicz (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock), senior Mara Brown (Fremont/Ross), senior Morgan Fernandez (Huber Heights/Wayne) and senior Annie Richters (Troy/Miami East) were fourth in 1:51.62.
Notables
- The meet consists of 20 events, including 13 individual races, five relays and two diving events.
- The top three individuals and top two relays in each event earn All-Conference honors.
- Eversole is now a two-time All-Conference honoree in the 400 I.M. after finishing second in 2022.
- After Leatherman's second place finish, an ONU athlete has now earned All-OAC kudos in the 100 breast three times in the past four years.
- Ohio Northern has won 7 OAC Championships titles since 2007.
- Austin Veltman is 30-32 in his seven season as head coach of the Polar Bears.
