Women's Swimming wraps up home schedule undefeated with tri-meet victories over Ohio Wesleyan and Bluffton

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the home portion of its schedule on Friday evening with tri-meet victories over Ohio Wesleyan and Bluffton at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.
The Polar Bears (5-2 overall) defeated OWU (3-4) 141-90 and topped BU (0-8) 178-21. Ohio Wesleyan also topped Bluffton 182-16.
Northern won nine of the 13 events, led by senior Lauren Shaw (Port Clinton).
Shaw won the 50 free in :26.11 and the 100 free in :58.05.
Senior Mya Parsons (Castle Rock, Colo./Arapahoe) won the 100 fly in 1:04.63.
Senior Megan Lubinski (Loveland/Brighton) won the 100 back in 1:02.55.
Junior Gabbie Grant (St. Clair Shores, Mich.Lakeview) won the 500 free in 5:46.53.
Freshman Hannah Eversole (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) won the 1,000 free in 11:40.44.
Freshman Mara Brown (Fremont/Ross) won the 200 free in 2:06.70.
Junior Shelby Starkey (Bellefontaine), Lubinski, Shaw and freshman Sydney Selinsky (Dover/Tuscarawas Central Catholic) opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay in 1:56.27.
Lubinski, freshman Annie Richters (Troy/Miami East), Grant and Selinsky won the 200 free relay in 1:44.78 to conclude the evening.
The Polar Bears finished the 2021-22 season undefeated at home with a 4-0 record. Earlier this season, ONU defeated John Carroll 156-137 and Mount Union 175-119.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday with a tri-meet at No. 2-ranked Kenyon with No. 20 Case Western Reserve.
