This Weekend's Meets: The Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team will open the OAC portion of its 2018-19 schedule this weekend with a home meet against Wilmington on Friday and a road meet at John Carroll on Saturday ... Ohio Northern is coming off a third place finish at the 7-team Kenyon Relays last Saturday ... Northern scored second place points in the 500 crescendo relay in 5:00.63 and the 400 I.M. relay in 4:20.22 ... ONU also finished second in the mixed 200 medley relay with freshman Megan Lubinski and senior Kierra Watson combining with seniors Pete He and Anthony Ferrell in 1:44.19 ... In all, Lubinski was on all three relay teams, while Watson and sophomore Marissa Taylor were on two relays each ... Wilmington opened its season with a 124-76 loss to Baldwin Wallace on Saturday ... Macki Leon won three events for the Fightin' Quakers in the meeting including 100-meter IM by over seven seconds with a time of 1:14.35. She also won the 100-meter free style (1:05.13) and was joined by Maryn Herring, Margaret Hover and Hannah Davis on Wilmington's 200-meter freestyle relay-winning squad (2:01.19). ... John Carroll opened its season with a 216-80 loss to #21-ranked Case Western Reserve on Saturday ... All-American Gwyn Ledrick had three of the four Blue Streak wins, placing first in the 100 Breast (1:07.39), the 200 Breast (2:27.82) and the 200 IM (2:15.23).
