Junior Lindsey Inkrott sets OAC, ONU record in 100 back to lead Women's Swimming & Diving on Day 2 of OAC Championships

AKRON — Junior Lindsey Inkrott won the 100 back title in record-breaking fashion to lead the Ohio Northern women on Day 2 of the three-day 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships Friday at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.
After 13 of 20 events, Mount Union leads the team standings with 518 points, Ohio Northern is second with 438 points and John Carroll is third with 391 points.
Inkrott won her third consecutive 100 back title, breaking her own OAC and ONU records in the process in :56.55.
Junior Allison Lohnes finished second in the 100 back in :57.03, earning All-OAC kudos for the second straight year
Northern started the meet off by winning the 200 medley relay in record-setting fashion.
Inkrott, freshman Sydney Veon Lohnes and sophomore Jill Chapman touched in an OAC and ONU record and NCAA "B" Cut time of 1:46.66.
It was Ohio Northern's fourth consecutive win in the event and the 10th time in the last 11 years that an ONU team won the race.
Sophomore Emily Uhrin and senior Ashley Zoeller earned All-OAC accolades in the 200 free, finishing second in 1:56.52 and third in 1:57.21, respectively.
Junior Stephanie Brookens, Uhrin, freshman Hailee Sautter and Zoeller earned All-Conference honors with a second place finish in the 800 free relay in 7:56.83
The Polar Bears have won six straight OAC titles and seven OAC Championship crowns overall.
The final day will be on Saturday, with the prelims at 11 am and finals starting at 5:30 pm.
