Two goals from Alyssa Beckett lead Women's Soccer to a 3-2 win over Wilmington

ADA — Two goals from senior Alyssa Beckett (Monroe) led the Ohio Northern women's soccer team to a 3-2 win over Wilmington on Wednesday night.

The Basics

• Records: Ohio Northern (11-5-1 overall, 7-1-0 OAC), Wilmington (6-6-5 overall, 2-3-3 OAC).
• Venue: Kerscher Stadium — Ada, Ohio.

The Match

• Beckett scored her first goal off assists from senior Jess Gast (Perrysburg) and fifth-year senior Jill Roberts (Bellbrook/Carroll) with 33:48 gone.
• Beckett scored again in the 55th minute on an assist from senior Elizabeth Pierce (Liberty Township/Mount Notre Dame) to go up 2-0.
• Junior Rileigh Glassburn (Delaware/Olentangy Berlin) scored off assists from Roberts and Beckett in the 74th minute to take a 3-0 lead.
• Wilmington rallied to score two goals in the last 34 seconds of the match, scoring their second goal with only two seconds left.
• Sophomore Emma Gramke (Dayton/Centerville) had three saves in goal for ONU.
• ONU out-shot WU 15-9 and each team had one corner kick.

• Ohio Northern leads the all-time series between the two schools by a 23-7-1 margin, including a 14-3-0 mark in Ada and a 7-1-0 record in Kerscher Stadium.
