Back-to-back goals from Libby Johnson lead Women's Soccer to a 4-0 victory at Mount Union

ALLIANCE — Back-to-back goals just 1:09 apart from senior Libby Johnson (Fairfield) lifted the Ohio Northern women's soccer team to a 4-0 victory at Mount Union on Saturday afternoon.

• Records: Ohio Northern (10-5-1 overall, 6-1-0 OAC), Mount Union (5-10-1 overall, 1-5-1 OAC).

• Johnson scored her first goal of the match in the 11th minute off an assist from senior Alyssa Beckett (Monroe).
• Johnson scored again just 1:09 later assisted by junior Haley Cannon (Oregon/Clay) to go up 2-0.
• Senior Elizabeth Pierce (Liberty Township/Mount Notre Dame) scored just before halftime on an assist from junior Rileigh Glassburn (Delaware/Olentangy) to go up 3-0 at the break.
• Freshman Emma Wingerter (Saginaw, Mich./Swan Valley) scored unassisted with just 30 seconds left in the match to extend the lead to 4-0.
• Sophomore Emma Gramke (Dayton/Centerville) had one save in goal for ONU.
• ONU out-shot MTU 24-1 and had a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.

• Ohio Northern leads the all-time series between the two schools by a 27-10-2 margin, including a 13-5-1 mark in Alliance.
• ONU clinched a spot in the 6-team OAC Tournament with the victory.
