ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team remained undefeated on the season with a 3-0 victory over Kalamazoo (Mich.) on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon at Kerscher Stadium.
The Polar Bears improve to 3-0-2 overall, while the Hornets fall to 2-2-2.
Sophomore Elizabeth Pierce (Liberty Township/Mount Notre Dame) gave the hosts a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 26th minute off an assist from junior Kylie Brown (Jamestown, N.Y./Southwestern Central).
Junior Jill Roberts (Bellbrook/Carroll) made it 2-0 with a nifty unassisted goal in the 52nd minute.
Sophomore Chandler Clark (Lima/Bath) scored in the 64th minute off an assist from sophomore Emma Bowman (Novi, Mich./Northville) to put the Polar Bears on top 3-0.
Senior Becky Moss (Lebanon/Mount Notre Dame) had one save in goal to pick up her third shutout of the season.
Ohio Northern out-shot Kalamazoo 14-4 and had a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday at noon with a match at No. 17-ranked Case Western Reserve.
