ALLIANCE — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team won a share of the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title with a 3-0 victory at Mount Union on Sunday afternoon at Mount Union Stadium.
The Polar Bears finish their regular season tied with Otterbein atop the OAC standings with 8-0-1 records. It marks the eight OAC crown overall and the fourth in the past five seasons for the program.
The OAC will release the pairings and seedings for the 6-team OAC Tournament on Monday. ONU has clinched a quarterfinal bye and will host a semifinal match on Thursday at 7 pm at Kerscher Stadium.
Sophomore Cienna Kuhn (Elida) had a goal and an assist and junior Kristy Catrine (Springboro) extended her school record scoreless streak to 813 minutes this season and 816 minutes in her career.
Freshman Kylie Cabana (Dexter, Mich.) got ONU on the board with 26:34 gone in the contest.
Kuhn made it 2-0 with an unassisted goal in the 67th minute and assisted on a goal by freshman Alaina Casey (Beavercreek/Carroll) in the 72nd minute to make it 3-0.
Catrine had one save in goal.
Ohio Northern out-shot Mount Union 15-3.
