WESTERVILLE — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team drew 0-0 against Otterbein Thursday night at Memorial Stadium.
After the tie 110 minutes of play, both the Polar Bears and Cardinals move to 7-0-1 overall and 7-0-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
Junior Kristy Catrine (Springboro) recorded ten saves in her seventh shutout in goal. She ran her scoreless streak to a school-record 733 minutes this season and 736 minutes in her career.
Otterbein recorded their fifth consecutive shutout of the season.
The Cardinals out-shot the Polar Bears 22-10 and held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
With the shutout, ONU set a new school record with their eight consecutive shutout, breaking the previous record of seven in 2017 and 2018.
With one game remaining in the OAC regular season, Northern will travel to Mount Union Sunday for a 2 pm contest.
A Polar Bear win clinches at least a share of the OAC regular season championship. OU will wrap up its regular season at Capital in a match that will also have OAC title implications.
