ADA — Cayleb Paulino has been named the assistant women's soccer coach at Ohio Northern University, the ONU athletic office announced this week.
He assumes the new role in his fourth year at Ohio Northern, having been an assistant coach for the men's soccer program during the 2015-18 seasons. During his stint with the men's program, the Polar Bears compiled a 59-20-9 overall record, captured an OAC Regular Season and OAC Tournament crown in 2015, and made back-to-back NCAA Division III Tournament appearances in 2015 and 2016.
Prior to joining the Ohio Northern coaching staff, Cayleb served as an assistant coach for the men's and women's soccer programs at Defiance College from 2012-2014. While there, he earned his Master's of Arts degree in Education with a concentration in Sport Coaching.
A 2011 graduate from Wilmington College, Cayleb was a four-year varsity letter winner for the WC men's soccer program. During his athletic career, Paulino was a two-year captain, two-time Academic All-OAC honoree, and an All-East Region Scholar-Athlete.
The Sidney, Ohio native earned an undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education with a minor in Coaching from Wilmington in 2011.
"Cayleb is a welcomed addition to our women's soccer family," Batman stated. "His long-term goal is to become a head women's college coach, and this position was a great opportunity for him and his family. We are extremely excited about what he is bringing to our program."
