This Wednesday's Preview: The Ohio Northern women's soccer team hits the road Wednesday evening, October 17 as they travel to Ohio Athletic Conference foe Heidelberg for a midweek conference matchup ... The Polar Bears enter the contest sporting an 11-2-0 overall record, an undefeated 5-0-0 mark against the conference loop, and riding an 11-match win streak ... ONU has won 21 consecutive OAC regular season matches dating back to 2016 when they won their final seven conference contests of the year ... Northern's conference record places them in a two-way tie atop the league table alongside Otterbein, who also remains undefeated in OAC action ... Senior forward McKenna Welsh notched the game-winner, her seventh score this year, 14 minutes into the match off a Rose Nienaber assist ... Sophomore forward Jenna Fuller scored twice in the second half to secure the victory, which gives her 13 goals on the year to surpass her freshman-year scoring total ... In net, junior goalkeeper Meagan Grierson registered her ninth shutout of the season after facing just three shots ... Fuller leads the team with 13 goals, 28 points, and 44 shots this season ... Grierson leads the league in goals against (5), GAA (0.40), and stands fourth in save percentage (78.3%) ... Grierson currently sits third in career shutouts (29), just one shy of tying second place, and ninth in career saves (127) all-time at Ohio Northern ...
