Wednesday's Preview: The Ohio Northern women's soccer program hits the road for a midweek Ohio Athletic Conference clash this Wednesday, October 10 as the Polar Bears travel to Wilmington to battle the Quakers ... Match time is set for 7 p.m. at Williams Stadium in Wilmington ... Northern enters the matchup sporting a 9-2-0 overall record, a 3-0-0 mark in the OAC, and riding a current nine-match win streak ... Ohio Northern's conference record places them atop the league table alongside Otterbein and Capital, who also remain undefeated in conference play ... In their most recent outing, the Polar Bears routed conference foe Muskingum 11-0 at Kerscher Stadium on Saturday ... ONU would receive goals from eight different players, including multiple-goal efforts from senior forward McKenna Welsh, senior midfielder Sarah Puntel, and sophomore forward Emma Barney in the victory ... Sophomore forward Jenna Fuller also lengthened her current scoring streak to eight consecutive games Saturday, giving her a team-high and conference-best 11 goals and 23 points on the season ... Welsh and Barney stand second and third on the team with five and four goals, respectively ...  Meanwhile, Barney and junior midfielder Haley Moses lead Ohio Northern with four assists each and stand tied for third in the OAC ... Junior goalkeeper Meagan Grierson stands atop the conference in total goals against with five and goals against average with an impressive 0.47 mark ... As a team, Northern leads the conference in goals against (5), goals against average (0.45), and shutouts (8) while also standing second in goals scored (33) ... Wilmington enters the contest owning an 8-3-0 overall record and a 2-1-0 mark in the OAC with their most recent outing resulting in a 2-0 loss at Mount Union on Saturday ... The Quakers are led offensively by senior forward Alex Vestal who has accumulated a team-high six goals, three assists, and 15 points ... In goal, senior netminder Leda Moyer has earned all 11 starts this season, posting a 0.73 goals against average, 36 saves, and five shutouts.

All-Time Series: Ohio Northern currently leads the all-time series with a 15-7-1 record against the Quakers, which includes a 6-4-1 mark on the road ... The Polar Bears have won four consecutive meetings with their most recent victory occurring in the 2017 regular season when ONU defeated Wilmington 4-0.
