No. 14 Women's Soccer claims OAC Regular Season title outright, posts 13th consecutive win with 7-2 victory over Baldwin Wallace

ADA — The No. 14-ranked Ohio Northern women's soccer team used a strong offensive effort to claim the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship outright and move its win streak to 13 games with a 7-2 victory over Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday evening at Kerscher Stadium.
The Polar Bears improve to 15-1-1 overall and 8-0-0 in the OAC, while the visiting Yellow Jackets drop to 11-6-1, 4-3-1.
Northern was led in the contest by freshman Jenna Fuller (Countryside, Ill./Lyons Township) as she scored two goals and tallied two assists for ONU.
Sophomore Rose Nienaber (Cincinnatti/Oak Hills) added a goal and an assist for the Polar Bears, while seniors Anna Niemeyer (Loveland) and Abbey Oswald (Lambertville, Mich./Bedford) and sophomores Hannah Martin (Mason/Mount Notre Dame) and Haley Moses (Mason) each scored a goal.
Freshman Megan Breier (Plainfield, Ill./North) also added an assist for ONU.
Moses opened the scoring attack for ONU in the 20th minute after Fuller played a short pass over the Baldwin Wallace defense and Fuller one touched it in to give ONU a 1-0 lead.
Minutes later, Nienaber capitalized off of Breier's cross from the right wing and found the back of the net to push the lead to 2-0 in the 23rd minute.
Fuller added her first goal of the evening as she beat two BW defenders from the right wing and beat the keeper to give ONU a 3-0 lead just before the intermission.
BW was able to tack on a goal seconds later to pull within 3-1 heading into the intermission.
Fuller picked up where she left off in the second half as she dribbled up the field and sent a strike from 15 yards out to extend Northern's lead to 4-1.
In the 61st minute, Nienaber played a corner kick into the center of the field where Martin sent a shot from 30 yards out and found the back of the net.
Fuller's flick on pass from the center of the field found Niemeyer in the 65th minute, before Niemeyer scored from the right wing to push the lead to 6-1.
Shortly after a BW goal in the 84th minute, Oswald gathered a loose ball and scored an insurance goal to seal the 7-2 victory for the Polar Bears.
Sophomore Meagan Grierson (Miamisburg) earned the victory for ONU in the goal, recording two saves and improving her record to 15-1-1 on the year.
Northern out shot the Yellow Jackets by a 30-7 margin and won the corner kick battle by a 10-1 lead.
The Polar Bears will wrap up the regular season on Friday afternoon as they travel to Marietta to take on the Pioneers at 4 pm.
