Senior Shelby Stephens named Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week

ADA — Senior Shelby Stephens (Cypress, Tex./Cypress Woods) has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 17-22.

Stephens led the ONU women's soccer team (12-3-0 overall, 6-1-0 OAC) to a 2-0-0 week.

Stephens led the way offensively in a 2-0 shutout over Wilmington as she scored a goal and added an assist on the other Northern goal.

The senior continued her hot streak in an 8-0 victory over Muskingum, as she scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Polar Bears.

Northern will return to action Wednesday evening as they travel to Berea to take on the Yellow Jackets at 7 pm in a key OAC matchup.
