Women's Soccer welcomes seven players as part of the 2016 recruiting class

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer program welcomes seven new players as part of the 2016 recruiting class.
The Polar Bears welcome Haley Moses, Hannah Martin, Annie McArn, Meagan Grierson, Rose Nienaber, Alanis Allison, and Alyssa Manley.
Haley Moses, a Cincinnati native, is finishing her senior year at Mason High School where academically she received high honors every semester since her freshman year, was a 3 time Academic All Southwest award recipient and received the OSSCAA Academic Excellence Award.
As a 3 year Varsity starter at center midfield, Moses helped lead the Comets to 2 Conference Championships, 3 Sectional Championships, 2 District Championships, 2 Regional Championships and the 2014 Division 1 State Finalists. Serving as a Team Captain her Senior Year, Haley received All-Ohio, All SW Ohio Team, All Conference, Team MVP to top her individual athletic awards.
Haley plays for King Hammer Academy under the direction of Coach, Tiffany Roberts who are ranked #1 by gotsoccer.com in Ohio South, #1 in the Region and #14 Nationally. KHA has been State Cup Champions for the past 4 years and has been US Regional Semi Finalists in 2012 and 2014. In 2015 KHA went on to be Regional Champions and National Semi Finalists.
Haley is the daughter of John and Karen…sisters Demi and Courtney…Majoring in Engineering.
Hannah Martin joins the Polar Bears from Cincinnati and will graduate from Mount Notre Dame High School where she has excelled in the classroom and been an honor roll student all four years of her career.
Hannah, a 3 year Varsity starter for the Cougars, was a two-time All-Conference defender. Hannah has played the past 5 years as a defender and midfielder for her club team, Warren County Elite, under the direction of Coach Bob Downs. In 2012 her club team went on to win the Ohio South State Cup Championship and finished as Regional Semi-Finalists.
Hannah is the daughter of Alan and Sarah….Sister Rebecca….Majoring in Biology
Annie McArn, a Bay Village native, is completing her senior year at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson where she received High Academic Honors in 2013-2014, Highest Academic Honors from 2014-2016 and was the Silver Medal recipient for the National Spanish Exam in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Annie, a central defender at Western Reserve, has been a 4 year starter for the Pioneers. She received First Team All Conference and All District in her Senior season and was named Honorable mention as a Junior.
Annie is the daughter of Craig and Julie….brother Christopher…Majoring in Pharmacy.
Meagan Grierson joins the Polar Bears from Dayton, Ohio where she will be graduating from Miamisburg High School. In the classroom Megan has been on the Honor Roll for 3 years and received her Academic Letter as Progressive Award winner for 3 years. Meagan is an Officer of the National Honor Society where she acts as Secretary and is Ranked 8th in her class.
Grierson was a GWOC All Conference Goalkeeper for the Vikings as a Senior and was named GWOC South First Team Sophomore and Senior Year and Honorable Mention her Junior year. She was a three-time MVSSCA All-Miami Valley selection and holds the Miamisburg School Record for Career Shutouts and Saves.
Grierson plays for CUP Gold under the direction of Coach Greg Deutsch where she has competed in the Midwest Regional League for the past 3 years. In 2016 CUP Gold won their division at the CASL Showcase in Raleigh, NC.
Meagan is the daughter of Chris and Ronda….Brother Darren…Majoring in Pharmacy.
Rose Nienaber from Oak Hills High School in Cincinnati Ohio joins the Polar Bears 2016 class. Nienaber received Highest Honors for 4 years at Oak Hills while being involved in extra-curricular activities such as being an Executive Board member in the National Honor Society and being a member of the Spanish Honor Society. Rose received her Academic Letter all 4 years and is on track to graduate in the top 10% of her class.
On the field, Nienaber was a 3 year Varsity starter as a forward receiving GMC 2nd Team All-Conference and Southwest Ohio All-Academic Team for 3 years. She helped lead her team to a District Championship in 2014 and a GMC Championship in 2015.
Nienber plays for CUP Gold with teammate Meagan Grierson under the direction of Coach Greg Deutsch. CUP Gold has competed in the Midwest Regional League Premier level, won their division at the CASL Showcase and were President Cup Regional Champions in 2013.
Rose is the daughter of Doug and Tracy…Siblings Jenni and Allen…Majoring in Pharmacy.
Alanis Allison, a Sharpsburg, MD native joins the Polar Bears this fall after transferring to ONU from Towson University in Towson, MD. Alanis was a member of the Spanish Honors Society and on Honor Roll for three years and received the Exceptional Work award for AP Studio Art at Boonsboro Senior High School.
As a 4 year Varsity team member Alanis received MVAL Honorable Mention and was a Senior Captain. Alanis played for the competitive club soccer program, Locomotive FC, under the direction of David Jones and Brian Albert where they played in and won many showcase events.
Alanis is the daughter of Randy and Queben Allison….sibling Stanley…..Majoring in Art and Psychology
Alyssa Manley will be joining the Women's Soccer team for her first year after spending the past year at Ohio Northern University. Alyssa, a 2015 Lima Bath graduate was a three sport athlete participating in Soccer, Basketball and Softball, earning many accolades in all three sports. On top of her athletic ability Alyssa was named to the Lima Bath honor roll.
Alyssa scored 115 goals for Bath HS and was a 3-Time All-Ohio recipient, 4-Time All-District and 4-Time All-Conference player. Manley helped lead the soccer team to 3 District Championships, a Regional Championship and a State Tournament Final Four appearance. On the basketball court she helped lead her teams to 4 Conference Championships, 4 District Championships, a Regional Championship and State Tournament Final Four appearance. With her softball team she collected 4 Conference Championships, 3 District Championships, 1 Regional Championship and a State Championship.
Manley joined ONU in the fall of 2015 as a freshman with the ONU Women's Basketball program who clinched the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title and a trip to the NCAA National Tournament second round. After taking a year off from soccer Manley has decided to play soccer at the collegiate level.
Alyssa is the daughter or Rich and Angie Manley….Siblings Ali and Keaton….Majoring in Accounting.
