Women's Soccer has seven athletes named Academic All-OAC

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team had 7 players named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in voting done by the leagues academic advisors.
Junior Ellie Schmalzl, junior Rachel Weigman, junior Missy Ward, sophomore Anna Niemeyer, senior Emily Brodict, junior Shelby Stephens and senior Hannah Moloney.
Schmalzl a business major earns her second Academic All-OAC honor.
The junior appeared in five games this season for ONU.
Weigman scored three goals this season for the Polar Bears, appearing in 13 games.
The pharmacy major earns her second Academic All-OAC accolade.
Ward a pharmacy major earns her second Academic All-OAC honor.
The junior appeared in all 21 games for ONU, scoring three goals and recording one assist.
Niemeyer played in 12 games, making nine starts before suffering a season ending injury.
The sophomore earns her first Academic All-OAC accolade.
Brodict earns her third Academic All-OAC accolade.
The OAC Goalkeeper of the Year started all 21 games for Northern, recording eight shutouts and posted 74 saves.
Stephens led the Polar Bears this season with 10 goals and 11 assists.
The business major earns her second All-OAC honor.
Moloney a graphic design major earns her second Academic All-OAC accolade.
The senior appeared in seven games for Northern.
The Polar Bears went 12-7-2 and finished Runner-Up in the OAC Tournament.
