Junior Shelby Stephens named OAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Shelby Stephens has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 19-25.

Stephens led the Polar Bears (10-6-1 overall, 6-1 OAC) to a 2-0 week, helping ONU defeat Heidelberg 5-1 and Muskingum 6-0.

In the vicotry over Heidelberg, Stephens scored two goals within two minutes of one another.

She also scored one goal and recorded two assists as the Polar Bears topped Muskingum.

The junior currently leads the team with 24 points on team-highs in goals (8) and assists (8). 

Ohio Northern returns to action Tuesday as they travel to Berea to take on Baldwin Wallace at 7 pm.
