CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team fell to No. 17 Thomas More (Ky.) 2-0 Saturday afternoon at BB&T Field.
The Polar Bears fall to 3-5-1 on the year, while the Saints improve to 6-0-1.
Northern was led by senior Alex Weirich who recorded two shots on goal on the afternoon.
The Saints got on the board in the 18th minute as Julia Flagge-Echols put Thomas More ahead 1-0.
The Polar Bears would stifle the Saints offense for the rest of the half, holding them to just six shots.
Thomas More would add an insurance goal in the 65th minute to take a 2-0 lead and seal the game.
Senior Emily Brodict recorded three saves in the contest for the Polar Bears, and moves into fifth place all-time for career saves at ONU.
Northern will return to action Wednesday evening, as they play host to Transylvania (Ky.) at Kerscher Stadium at 6 pm.
