CLEVELAND - The Ohio Northern Women's Soccer team fell to Case Western Reserve Friday evening 2-0 at Disanto Field on the campus of Case Western Reserve.
The Polar Bears fall to 3-3-1 overall, while the Spartans improve to 4-0-2.
Northern was led in the contest by senior Alex Weirich, who record a team-high-three shots, two of which were on goal.
Senior, goalkeeper, Emily Brodict recorded four saves in the contest, moving her into sixth place all-time in ONU career history in saves.
Case Western struck early in the contest as the Spartans were able to find the back of the net in the sixth minute to take the 1-0 advantage.
Weirich threatened in the 38th minute with a header in the box but the Spartans keeper was able to combat the threat.
The Spartans would add an insurance goal in 59th minute to secure the 2-0 victory.
Northern returns to action Wednesday as they travel to Springfield to take on the Tigers of Wittenberg at 7 pm.
