Women's Soccer clinches spot in OAC Tournament with 4-1 victory over Muskingum

ADA--Sophomore Kristina Klusek notched her second career hat trick to lead the Ohio Northern women's soccer team to a 4-1 road victory at Muskingum Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears improve to 10-4-4 overall and 5-3-1 in the OAC, while Muskingum falls to 4-13-1, 0-8-1.
The win also clinches a spot in the OAC Tournament for the Polar Bears.
Klusek got the Polar Bears on the board first when she put one past the keeper at the 9:41 mark of the first half.
Senior Tara Tokar picked up the assist on the play.
The Muskies would answer back quickly Noelle Kleppel put one in the net less than a minute later.
Klusek would score her second goal at the 38:44 mark to put ONU up 2-1.
Klusek would strike one more time in the first half, taking a shot off of a corner kick to expand the Polar Bear lead to 3-1 with just over three minutes left in the first half.
Sophomore Sandra Thorarensen would put the game away with her sixth goal of the season at the 60:41 mark.
Klusek now has a team high 13 goals on the season.
Senior goalie Erin Waehner improves to 9-4-4 on the season by making one save.
Sara Polig made 10 saves for the Muskies and falls to 4-13-1.
Northern outshot Muskingum 27-9, including a 14-2 advantage on goal.
Ohio Northern will be in action again on Monday when they host Wilmington in the OAC Tournament Quarterfinals at 2 pm.
