ADA — Freshman Kristina Klusek scored two goals and added an assist to lead the No. 25 Ohio Northern women's soccer team to a 4-1 win over Mount Saint Joseph Wednesday afternoon at the ONU Soccer Field.
With the win, the Polar Bears are now unbeaten in their last six matches and are 6-1-2, while the Lions fall to 1-8-1.
Klusek put Northern on the board first in the fourth minute when she took a pass from sophomore Lauren Brown and beat the goalie.
Junior Tara Tokar put the Polar Bears up 2-0 in the 33rd minute when she rocketed a shot from 15 feet and put it in the net.
Klusek's second goal put Ohio Northern up 3-0 when freshman Sandra Thorarensen sent a cross that Klusek headed in. Also picking up an assist on the play was senior Alyssa Merrick.
The Lions would respond in the 62nd minute on a breakaway goal by junior Tyler Hudapohl.
Thorarensen would finish off the scoring in the 81st minute by heading in a rebound off of a Klusek shot. Freshman Fran Federle also picked up her first assist of the season on the play.
"Today was a good win," said head coach Mark Batman. "We played well and made good adjustments to the conditions in the second half. We are moving on to Mount Union as a very confident team."

Junior Erin Waehner picked up her sixth win of the season by making one save.
