ADA — After spending two weeks at the No. 25 spot, Ohio Northern's women's soccer team jumped four spots to No. 21 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's (NSCAA) fifth weekly national poll.
The Polar Bears went 2-0 in competition last week, posting dominating 4-1 wins in each contest against Mount St. Joseph and at Mount Union. Additionally, freshman Kristina Klusek earned the team's second OAC Player of the Week nod of the season. She recorded seven points on three goals and one assist last week.
Messiah (Pa.), William Smith (N.Y.) and Weaton all remained in the Top 3 spots, while Trinitiy (Texas) moved up to the fourth spot and Johns Hopkins (Md.) took the fifth.
In the D3soccer.com poll, ONU received more votes than last week, earning 24 nominations compared to 16 last week but has yet to crack the Top 25.
Northern is in action today when it hosts Manchester (Ind.) at 4 p.m. at the ONU Soccer Field.
