Saturday's Tournament: Ohio Northern will return home on Saturday to host the 41st annual ONU Invitational at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse ... 13 teams, made up of 12 NCAA Division III schools and NCAA II Tiffin will participate in the 10-weight class, double-elimination individual tournament ... Three Ohio Northern wrestlers are currently ranked by the NWCA ... Sophomore All-American Jacob Reed (141 pounds) is #2, senior Chase Sumner (149 pounds) is #10 and senior Jordan Hardrick (165) is #14 ... In the latest D3wrestle.com poll, Reed is #2, Sumner is #7 and Hardrick is listed as a Contender as being ranked in the 11-18 group ... Sophomore Dylan Le (133) is listed in the "Honorable Mention" category as being ranked in the 19-26 group ... The Polar Bears are coming off a 35-7 victory at Heidelberg on Tuesday night ... Reed and Sumner each had first period falls and sophomore Jayden Jones (Ashland) recorded a third period pin to give ONU a commaning 25-0 lead ... Reed had a first period fall in 1:42 at 141 and Sumner followed with fall in a quick 23 seconds at 149 pounds. Jones made it three consecutive pins with a win in 5:13 at 157 to make it 25-0 ... Hardrick won by decision 7-4 at 165 to clinch the match for ONU at 28-0 ... Thus far this season, Reed leads the team with a 14-0 record, 6 pins and 4 major decisions to go with 5 pins ... Le is second at 13-2 and Sumner, Hardrick and Sophomore Gavin Layman are all 12-1 ... ONU finished 2nd of 16 teams at the 2021 ONU Invitational and has placed second (three times) or third (twice) in the last five ONU Invitational tournaments.

He sports a 364-247-4 career coaching record in dual action, a winning percentage of .594, making him the all-time winningest coach in program history ... Beaschler was inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Hall of Fame in 2008 and has been named OAC Coach of the Year three times in 1993, 2012, and 2013.
