Saturday's Dual: Ohio Northern will wrap up the 2019 portion of its schedule on Saturday with a non-conference dual meet at Manchester (Ind.) ... The Polar Bears are coming off a second place finish out of 13 teams at the 39th Annual ONU Invitational last Saturday ... Freshmen Camden Spears and A.J. Szigeti each posted second place finishes to lead Ohio Northern ... Spears was 3-1 at 125 pounds to place second and Szigeti was 4-1 to finish second at 165 pounds in his first collegiate competition of his career ... In all, 11 Polar Bears placed in the top eight in their respective weight classes ... Seniors Jeff Andrews (141) and Seth Transue (133), juniors Schuyler Caprella (157) and Cash Thompson (197) and freshman Chase Sumner (149) all had third place finishes for ONU ... Four Polar Bears are ranked at their respective weight classes in the Dec. 3 D3Wrestle.com rankings ... Transue is 19th at 133, Andrews is 22nd at 141 and Thompson is 16th at 197 ... Thus far this season, Transue leads the team with a 16-2 record ... Thompson (15-2) and Caprella (15-4) are tied for second with 15 wins each ... Thompson leads the team with 9 pins ... Andrews leads the team with 7 tech falls and Transue leads the team with 6 major decisions ... Andrews (76-51) and Transue (76-41) lead all active ONU wrestlers with 76 career victories, which tie them for 31st all-time in ONU history ... Thompson is 40th all-time with a 70-31 career record ... Manchester is 0-3 in dual meets this year and competed last at the non-scoring Indiana Little State Championships tournament in Indianapolis last Saturday ... JaVon Phillips placed 6th at 149 and Josh Stephenson was seventh at 125 for the Spartans.

Head Coach Ron Beaschler: Beaschler is in his 32nd season at the helm of the Ohio Northern wrestling program and currently stands as the longest-tenured head wrestling coach at the institution ... He sports a 330-237-4 career coaching record in dual action, a winning percentage of .582, making him the all-time winningest coach in program history ... Beaschler was inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Hall of Fame in 2008 and has been named OAC Coach of the Year three times in 1993, 2012, and 2013.
