Wrestling drops 29-7 decision to #7 Mount Union

ADA — Ohio Northern dropped a 29-7 wrestling dual meet decision to No. 7-ranked Mount Union Tuesday night in a key Ohio Athletic Conference matchup at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 13-4 overall and 1-1 in the OAC, while the Purple Raiders improve to 11-3, 2-0.
Ohio Northern got on the board with a 3-2 decision by junior Tyler Gargano at 174 pounds. Gargano got a third period takedown to snap a 1-1 tie and held on for the victory to improve to 18-5 on the season.
Senior All-American and No. 1-ranked Cody Lovejoy improved to 30-0 on the season with a 14-0 major decision at heavyweight.
The Polar Bears will return to action Friday and Saturday at the Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational.
